Not very many showbiz personalities can make dramatic turnaround for their famed lifestyle and live incognito in some far away getaway.
But Andi Eigenmann at the press conference for All Souls Night (opening in theaters tomorrow), in which she plays the lead character Shirley, revealed that she and her non-showbiz boyfriend, a professional surfer, Philmar Alipayo, have been together for three months now, living in Baler, Aurora.
Andi shared that when she decided to accept the offer from Yam Laranas, the top honcho of ImaginePerSecond, producer of All Souls Night along with Viva Entertainment, her current beau did not resist.
“I’m really motivated to be the best version of myself. Like, it’s the first time I’m with someone who really supports me with that, and then without also forgetting the fact that I have a daughter. Philmar really caught my heart. Kasi, not that it was him who showed me how important my daughter is, but he showed me that I can live a life of being a 28-year-old and being young and free. But at the same time, incorporating my relationship with my daughter and time with my daughter more than ever.”
Andi, though, has not turned her back completely on showbiz. She still in Viva TV’s YouTube channel called Taralets, a travel show that explores different destinations.
All Soul Night follows the story of Shirley (Andi), an all-around house helper who answered an ad for a quick three-day job to take care of a sick man.
Ellen, the inhospitable wife, readily tells her the three important house rules: First, keep the doors and windows shut; second, stay locked inside the house; and third, don’t get inside their room without permission.
Shirley shares a room with the couple’s young daughter and observes that the child is a terrified mess. She tells Ellen about it, only to be forbidden to interfere in whatever she sees going on around the house. After the child tells Shirley that the man is not her father, nerve-racking incidents one after another are revealed to her. And she will not be spared from it.
“I liked the story when they presented it to me and I really had fun doing it. Members of the cast are great artists and good people. Hindi basta senseless horror ‘yung movie namin na nananadyang manggulat at manakot. This one is creepy all throughout,” Andi guaranteed.

Mapua High School Batch 68 : This Year’s Golden Jubilarians
Batch 1968 graduates of the High School of the Mapua Institute of Technology (now the Mapua University) are the Golden Jubilarians at the 42nd Annual Grand Alumni Homecoming of the MIT High School Alumni Association, Inc. on Nov. 10 (Saturday), 6 p.m. at the Centennial Hall, Manila Hotel.
Batch 68 President Agustin Ocampo announced that aside from the gala dinner on Nov. 10, the activities lined up to celebrate this milestone are: Outing at Villa Escudero on Nov. 5, Charity Project on Nov. 6, Golf and Bowling Tournaments at Tagaytay Highlands on Nov. 7 and Batch 68 Reunion at Club Filipino (3:00 p.m. onwards) on Nov. 8.
Almost 80 golden jubilarians from Batch 1968, based here and abroad, have registered for the events, and there is an expected attendance of almost 400 alumni at the Nov. 10 Grand Alumni Homecoming, a historic first for the alumni association’s annual event at the iconic Manila Hotel.
This year’s homecoming theme is “Mapua High School Alumni: REUNITED”. Co-celebrators are the Ruby (40 years) and Silver (25 years) Jubilarians.
The Grand Alumni Homecoming Chairman is Roy Tuazon and MITHSAAI President is Jhun Paculan also said that one of the event’s highlights is the induction into alumni association membership of the new batch of senior high school graduates of the Mapua University.
To mark this new milestone, they said that the association will be renamed eventually. The event’s guest of honor and speaker is Dr. Reynaldo Vea, Mapua University President.
The Batch 1968 Golden Jubilee Executive Organizing Committee composed of Gus Ocampo, Noel Go, Ed Trinidad and Lino Santiago, as well as local and overseas batch mates all contributed their time, effort and resources to make the golden jubilee event a grand and memorable one.

Submit project to the French coproduction program
La Fabrique Cinéma de l’Institut français has been designed to support new talented filmmakers from Southern and emerging countries.
This program has been developed in close association with the Festival de Cannes and the Marché du Film.
Ten projects in development (1st or 2nd feature film) are selected and invited to Cannes. The aim is to create concrete opportunities for these projects by providing access to different activities and personalized support through one-to-one and group meetings with key players in the film industry.
An international call for entries limited to 120 projects is launched every year. The applications are evaluated by a selection committee.
The selected directors are invited with their producers during the Festival de Cannes to participate in an intensive and personalized coaching. This programme is meant to help finance their projects through individual meetings with French and international producers as well as group meetings with professionals. They also benefit from the strong commitment of the patron of La Fabrique.
