SCG Philippines, manufacturer, and distributor of world-class building supplies reported Friday sales revenue of P5 billion, or roughly $95 million, in the third quarter of 2018, up 46 percent year-on-year mainly from cement-building materials business.
SCG recorded revenue of P14.3 billion or $273 million from sales in the Philippines in the first nine months of 2018.
The Philippines showed growth in building materials industry due to on-going infrastructure constructions fostered by the government’s “Build, Build, Build” program, which has been accelerating development of the country’s economy.
It said operating results in the third quarter and the first nine months of 2018 showed an increase in revenue in all business units due to improved overall market conditions, higher demand of cement and building materials from Thailand and foreign investment projects by public and private sectors.
