Disappearing culture

A dilapidated capiz-laden window of an old house in Manila’s Zurbaran district shows a vanishing part of Philippine culture. The shells are used in making decorations, vases, lamps, lanterns, trays, accessories, ornaments, even doors, windows and more. The shells  have been used in the manufacture of decorative items like chandeliers and lampshades. Sonny Espiritu
