The De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD) partners with Art21’s Screening Society to celebrate the launch of the ninth season of Art in the Twenty-First Century television series tomorrow at 12:00 noon.
This special first screening happening at the MCAD Multimedia Room focuses on the Creative Growth, Art Center in San Francisco, a pioneering incubator of artistic activity; photographer and filmmaker Katy Grannan, pioneering interdisciplinary artist Lynn Hershman Leeson, an artist and educator Stephanie Syjuco.
Art in the Twenty-First Century is a Peabody Award-winning biennial program that allows viewers to observe the artists at work, watch as they transform inspiration into art and hear how they struggle with both the physical and visual challenges of achieving their visions.
