MySolid Technologies and Devices Corp., the maker of the iconic Filipino brand my|phone, is graduating from manufacturing entry-level phones to giving Filipino more value for their money by venturing into the competitive high-end mobile phone market.
MySolid chief executive David Lim while many Filipinos had the penchant for affordable handsets, picky users still preferred phones comparable with mobile phone devices.
“The only way to be ahead of other is to jump technology. These are interesting times, and while we keep growing my|phone as a Filipino pride, we have also created a new app that give Filipinos and my|phone users more value for their money,” he said Thursday at the sidelines of the launch of Brand Pilipinas.
Priced at about P20,000 per unit, the new phones will deliver the same high specification features as any other high-end sets but with more outstanding features.
The new sets of mobile phones will carry the app my|Barko, which is a portal of privileges accorded to my|phone users.
