The Department of Transportation issued an order giving full authority to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board to regulate and supervise Transport Network Companies and the Transport Network Vehicle Service units that operate under them.
The DOTr recognized the establishment of the roles of TNCs and TNVS in providing transport services to the public, as well as in promoting safe, reliable, and efficient land transportation services in the country.

Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade said the regulation was seen to benefit all parties.
