During his bilateral meeting with Moon Jae-in on the sidelines of the Asean Summit last year, Duterte encouraged South Korea to invest in manufacturing, automotive, food production, processing, agribusiness, electronics, and energy.

President Duterte also expressed his gratitude to South Korea for importing Philippine products such as food, garments, chemicals and electronic parts.

There are more than 24,000 Filipino workers deployed in South Korea under Korea’s Employment Permit System.
