22nd national duckpin kegfest starts April 28

GIFT certificates worth around P300,000 will be up for grabs in the 43rd Grand and 22nd Youth national duckpin bowling championships set on April 28 to May 6 at the Marketplace Center along Kalentong St., Mandaluyong City.

Inez Magbual, president of organizer Philippine Duckpin Bowling Council (PHIDBC) said competition will be held in team and single for men and women, senior for men and women (with handicap) and youth (boys and girls).

Major awards are P45,000, P30,000 and P20,000 for the top three men’s teams, P40,000, P25,000 and P15,000 for ladies’ team, P12,000, P9,000 and P7,000 for men’s and ladies’ singles, P7,000, P5,000 and P3,000 for seniors, and P3,000, P2,000 and P1,000 for Bracket A and P5,000, P3,000 and P2,000 for Bracket B in the youth division.

There will also be individual awards for team and singles in both Grand and Youth championships.

Preliminary competition in all events of the week-long kegfest supported by the Philippine Olympic Committee and San Miguel Corp. will be held starting on April 28. Semifinal action will be staged on April 30 in the Youth group and May 3 in Seniors.  The men’s and ladies’ semifinals and finals are scheduled on May 5, while the men’s and ladies’ semis and team finals will be played on May 6.
