Adventure-filled fantasy series Sirkus starring Mikee Quintos and Mikoy Morales airs its final episode today at 6:10 p.m. on GMA-7.
Sirkus Salamanca leader Master Leviticus (Gardo Versoza) has made the ultimate sacrifice—giving up his life to save twins Mia (Mikee) and Miko (Mikoy) from La Ora’s (Cherie Gil) deadly blow.
With his dying breath, Master Levi gives the twins one final mission, which is to use their powers as the prophesied Tempus to go back in time and change one very significant moment. He tells them to plant the seeds of compassion where hate was once sown.
As time runs out for the Sirkus team, Mia and Miko use the time portal and return to the past. There, in the old gathering of magical folk called Pulang Pista, they meet the young Leviticus (David Remo). They tell him that they must stop a tragedy from happening that very day, a tragedy that would define the path of a young girl who would grow dark and bring destruction to the world.
Meanwhile, the Sirkus gathers together in one final embrace in the present, facing La Ora as she continues to wreak havoc. “Walang iwanan,” they say to each other.
Produced by the award-winning GMA Public Affairs team, Sirkus also features Andre Paras, as the lovable strongman Martel, Chariz Solomon as the quirky clairvoyant Astra, Sef Cadayona as the funny acrobat Al, and Klea Pineda as the gorgeous fire-breather Sefira.
Playing special roles are Zoren Legaspi and Angelu de Leon as the twins’ parents Miguel and Liza. Helping Cherie’s character are Divine Tetay and Facundo as La Ora’s minions Luca and Facundo, respectively.
The series is created by Program Manager Angeli Atienza and directed by internationally-awarded writer-director Zig Dulay.
