A man suspected of selling the illegal substance of marijuana was arrested following a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City.
Michael Nordan yielded P450,000 worth of dried marijuana leaves amounting to six kilos when searched by operatives from the Metro Manila drug enforcement unit.
In a television interview, Chief Inspector Jose Aradia said Nordan admitted he had operated as a buyer and seller of marijuana he allegedly sourced from Kalinga in northern Luzon for the past three months.
He said that he bought the dried marijuana for P6,000 per kilo and sold it for P10,000 per kilo. But police believe he earned P50,000 to P70,000 per kilo after repacking contraband.
Meanwhile, authorities last Thursday seized a shipment of e-cigarettes laced with marijuana oil worth P300,000 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, following a tip from the United States Drug Enforcement Agency.
