Application slots have quickly run out for the Department of Foreign Affairs’ “Passport on Wheels” program in Caloocan City scheduled on Feb. 8.

In collaboration with Foreign Affairs Secretary Allan Peter Cayetano and the City of Caloocan under Mayor Oscar Malapitan, the DFA POW originally said it would accept applications from Jan. 25 to Feb. 2.

However, residents and other applicants have snapped up all available slots said City Registrar Lucena Flores, who is also the DFA-LGU coordinator.

According to Flores, while the processing of documents for passporting on Feb. 8 is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the third floor, Bulwagang Katipunan, Caloocan City Hall.

At any rate, “CRD will no longer accept applications after Feb. 2. Walk-in applicants will not be entertained on Feb. 8,” Flores said.

“Deadline of submission of application forms will be strictly enforced. Only those who submitted complete and valid requirements will be processed,” she added.

Renewal of passports will also observe the same schedule, Flores said.

Residents from North Caloocan can acquire their application forms at the 2nd Floor, Social Development Center Building, North City Hall Compound, Zapote Road, North Caloocan. There is no need to seek online appointment, she said.

Malapitan strictly ordered the CRD to maintain order during the passport processing on Feb. 8.

The DFA will conduct final evaluation, interview, photo capturing, fingerprinting and processing in Feb. 8, Flores said.

The passport application fee is P1,200 and P150 for the delivery fee of the processed passport. Payments will be paid directly to DFA personnel on Feb. 8. CRD will not accept any payments, Flores added.
