Metro Pacific Tollways South, a unit of Metro Pacific Tollways Corp., ended 2017 with zero fatality in concession road Cavitex when midnight struck and a new minute began on Jan 1, 2018.

“Our commitment to our stakeholders is to prioritize safety and security. It’s always one too many when there are incidents that involve fatalities. We aim for zero fatality because everyone who uses our toll road matters,” said CIC president J. Luigi Bautista.

Cavitex strictly implements traffic laws on anti-over speeding (RA 4136 Land Transportation and Traffic Code), Act on Anti-overloading (RA 8794), Seat Belts Use Act of 1999 (RA 8750), Limited Access Facility Act (RA 2000), Philippine Highway Act (RA 917) Animal Welfare Act (Batas Pambansa 8485) and Solid Waste Management Act (RA 9003).

The traffic laws are enforced by the patrol crew who are deputized traffic enforcement agents by the Land Transportation Office.
