The Hong Kong business sector recently sent an 11-man delegation to the Philippines to explore investment opportunities in agriculture, tourism, infrastructure and manufacturing.
Investors from business chambers, infrastructure and manufacturing companies and the banking community conducted due diligence on key Philippine business sectors.
The Department of Trade said the investment briefing served as an excellent platform in building a closer relationship between the Philippines and Hong Kong, with the recent signing of the Asean-Hong Kong Free Trade Agreement.
It also affirmed the country’s readiness for deeper economic partnership with Hong Kong and willingness to share successes in fostering an enabling business and investment environment of the Philippines.
