CHRISTMAS has come early for Filipino basketball fans as ABS-CBN Sports will be airing National Basketball Association games every day starting Dec. 15, highlighted by the Christmas Day battle between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the defending champions Golden State Warriors.
The special December marathon fires off on Dec. 15, 7 a.m. on S+A and S+A HD with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade of the Cleveland Cavaliers playing host to the youngsters of the Los Angeles Lakers led by second overall pick Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Fil-Am star Jordan Clarkson. After that, it’s Russel Westbrook and the OKC Thunder versus Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers on Dec. 16 at 8 am on ABS-CBN Ch. 2, then the coverage shifts back to S+A with the LA Clippers – Miami Heat game on December 17 at 9 am, and the Cavs versus the Washington Wizards game on December 18 at 7 am.
Also to watch for this month is Steph Curry and company taking on the LA Lakers on Dec. 19 at 11:30 a.m., followed by the showdown of two athletic freaks in Lebron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo in the Cleveland – Milwaukee game on Dec. 20 at 9 a.m., both on S+A and S+A HD.
This special NBA marathon serves as a countdown to the much-anticipated Christmas Day battle between the revamped Cleveland Cavaliers versus the 2016-2017 NBA titlists Golden State Warriors, which will also air live on S+A and S+A HD on Dec. 26 at 4 a.m.
Back in 2016, the Cavs beat the Warriors on their home floor thanks to a Kyrie Irving game-winner, reminiscent of his own dagger in the 2016 NBA Finals.
Other teams that will be showcased in the marathon, which will continue until the end of December include Memphis, Boston, New York, New Orleans, Orlando, Brooklyn, San Antonio, Utah, and Houston. It will close with a LIVE airing of the game between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Golden State Warriors on Dec. 31 at 9:30 a.m. on S+A.
