BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya—The Department of Agriculture recently elevated the province to the Hall of Fame and awarded it P7 million during its 2017 National Quality Corn Achievers Awards at the Philippine International Convention Center in Metro Manila.
Governor Carlos Padilla said the award is attributed to the efforts of corn farmers in the northern towns of Nueva Vizcaya such as Quezon, Bayombong, Solano, Diadi, Bagabag, and Villaverde.
“This fund incentive will be used to further boost our agricultural resources, technologies and corn plantations to sustain the quality of our corn products,” he said.
Padilla also underscored the huge contribution of the province’s farmers in sustaining the quality of corn products.
