Executives and engineers of the Masbate Gold Project inspect an area of the minesite undergoing a progressive rehabilitation program, which is part of MGP’s efforts to go beyond environmental compliance. To date, the MGP has planted 2.1 million trees across the expanse of over 2,659 hectares of land and 388,500 mangroves over 87.66 hectares of coastal areas. MGP consists of two companies: Filminera Resources Corp., which holds the mineral tenements and conducts the mining operations, and Phil. Gold Processing & Refining Corp., which owns and runs the process plant. Phil. Gold is wholly owned by B2Gold Corp., one of the fastest-growing gold producers in the world.
