Malolos City adopts all-in-one citizen ID cards

Malolos City, the capital of Bulacan province, has tapped PayMaya Philippines, the country’s pioneer and leader in digital financial services, to enable its constituents with all-in-one citizen ID cards that can be used to access citizen services, pay for fees and transactions, as well as receive cash allowances and other monetary benefits from the local government.

As a start, the citizen ID cards will be available to government employees and resident beneficiaries of Malolos, including student scholars, senior citizens, single parents and persons with disabilities. Beyond helping make disbursements of allowances and financial assistance more efficient, the city is pushing for financial inclusion as it embraces the digital economy.
