The event was also attended by Senate President Koko Pimentel, Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon and other senators.

House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez and House Majority Leader Rudy Farinas were also there.

Duterte also told the lawmakers that terrorists are planning attacks against three areas in Mindanao.

Sotto says, other than these pieces of information, he is not divulging other sensitive security matters that they talked about with Duterte.

The President did not seek any legislative action from the lawmakers with regard to Mindanao.

On Wednesday morning, the Armed Forces of the Philippines staged two air strikes over Marawi City.

The operations were temporarily halted at noon time.

Heavy rains poured over the conflict-torn city.
