JUSTICE Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II has ordered a revamp in two divisions of the National Bureau of Investigation following involvement in corruption as complained of by three local IT solution firms.

In separate department orders, Aguirre has reorganized the NBI Cybercrime Division and Digital Forensics Laboratory.

NBI is under the administrative supervision of the Department of Justice.

Head Agent Manuel Eduarte was named new chief of the Cybercrime Division with Special Agent Alex Bautista as executive officer and Senior Agents Juliana Gabionza, Ryner Ergo and Nina Grace Bacho, and Agents Chris Edgardo Anonuevo and Ma. Aiza Arcega as members.

For the Digital Forensics Laboratory, Special Agent Victor Lorenzo was designated chief with Special Agent Christopher Paz as executive officer and Agent Edgardo Añonuevo and Special Investigator Jay Salangguste as members.

The reshuffle in the two divisions came after Aguirre ordered an investigation on allegations against members of the NBI Cybercrime Division and Digital Forensics Laboratory involved in the operations on the offices of Intellcash International Inc., Datacentric Corp. and Delta Clout.

The DoJ chief earlier created a fact-finding team chaired by Undersecretary Raymund Mecate for this purpose.
