Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre is a subject of complaint at the Ombudsman.
Akbayan youth group called ‘Millennials Against Dictators’ went to the Ombudsman to file an administrative case on Wednesday.
The group says, Aguirre violated the code of ethical conduct and that he has become a ‘factory of fake news.’
This is supposedly for spreading fake news and linking four persons to an alleged destabilization plot.
Aguirre had previously hinted that Senators Antonio Trillanes and Bam Aquino, Magdalo Party-list Representative Gary Alejano and former presidential adviser Ronald Llamas could be involved in a destabilization plot when they went to Marawi City and met with Lucman and Alonto families just before the terror attack of the Maute group.
At that time, Aguirre presented a photo of the alleged meeting in Marawi City.
The story later on turned out to be from a fake news blog.
In withdrawing the allegation, Aguirre had claimed he was misquoted and confused with all the reports coming from Marawi City.
He had since apologized to Aquino and to Lucman and Alonto families.
