Senator JV Ejercito can take an ‘inter-parliamentary visit’ to France even if he has a pending technical malversation case at the Sandiganbayan.
The anti-graft court gave its go signal on Monday for the lawmaker to go abroad from June 25 to July 3.

The prosecution had tried to block the trip, saying Ejercito’s presence is not necessary in the event but the court apparently did not see Ejercito as a flight risk.
Ejercito is charged over an alleged questionable purchase of high-powered firearms during his term as San Juan mayor.
The transaction was worth P 2.1 million.
