More job fairs will be mounted starting June to November to help the national government pull down the unemployment rate, a Quezon City councilor announced Sunday.

District 1 Councilor Peter Anthony “Onyx” Crisologo said at least 5,000 new jobs are up for grabs at the “Trabaho Para sa Pagbabago” (Work for Change) job fair on June 6 and 7 at SM Megamall’s Megatrade Hall 3.

“We have lined up and scheduled a series of job fairs this year so we could provide job opportunities not only to the constituents of District 1, but also to the entire city,” he told Manila Standard.

The councilor’s office has partnered with Magnus Eventus Inc., owned and operated by a sister of actress Angelu de Leon, in the past five years for this job fair.

“We have already provided over 50,000 jobs,” Crisologo said.
