Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco’s daughter baby Mela became the first Babynaryo or baby millionaire of Bet on Your Baby this season.
“Thank you, Lord. We were not expecting this Ms. Juday. Thank you for inviting us here,” Melai told host Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo after Jason smashed the ceramic pig containing the jackpot.
When asked what they are going to do with the money, Melai said that the money will instantly go to the kid’s saving accounts. She said, “Half will go to the bank accounts of baby Mela and baby Stella, while the rest will be used for their education.”
It is Melai’s third time to win the grand prize in a TV show. She was named the Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up and then became the grand champion of Your Face Sounds Familiar. Melai and Jason first met in PBB where they were paired by fans who called their love team as MelaSon. Romance bloomed inside the famous house, got deeper in the outside world, until they finally married and started their own family.
Dubbed as the cutest game show on Philippine television, Bet On Your Baby is currently on its third season of giving Filipino toddlers a chance to play, bond with their parents, and change their lives by winning the jackpot prize of P1 million. Since it premiered back in 2013, the show already named 11 Babynaryos, one of which is baby Andot and the Icapin family whose lives changed after winning a house and lot. They no longer live under a bridge.
Bet On Your Baby airs Saturdays and Sundays on the game show capital of the Philippines, ABS-CBN.
