As a show of force and dominance in the highly coveted truck market, executives of Isuzu Philippines Corporation, the country’s diesel authority, rolled up their sleeves and buckled down to work this time presenting their aces in the deck of cards.
Isuzu occupied two massive halls of the SMX Convention Center of the SM Mall of Asia for the annual staging of its truck show. With the motoring media, dealers, clients and prospective buyers in attendance, IPC bared all its core values of dependability, durability and reliability.
“The key to our success is not on the sale of our trucks, it’s on the full service that comes with every purchase. With every truck purchase, we provide product orientations, driver’s training and even a professional analysis on fuel consumption and actual vehicle operation” said IPC President Hajime Koso. “A truck is probably one of the most valued investments for a company, which is why aside from providing quality products, Isuzu guarantees availability of parts and reliable service” he added.
Leading the 12-truck display line-up were the two (2) units each Isuzu NHR with flexi truck 10 x 10 body and FVM with Fruehaf wing van, which are specially built by IPC’s trusted body builders Kyoei Kogyo Philippines Corp. (KPC) and Centro Manufacturing Corporation respectively.
Completing the light-duty truck line-up were the Isuzu NHR with iVAN body option, NHR jeepney prototype which aims to modernize our mass transport system, the NPR dropside, an NPR aluminum van and the NQR Garbage Compactor. For the medium to heavy-duty segment, IPC displayed the FVM with crane,CYZ51 dump truck and EXZ51 tractor head.
Adding more diversity to the show, IPC displayed its leading light-commercial vehicles, two (2) units each of the Isuzu mu-X Black Series and Isuzu D-MAX X-Series. “Every year we try to make the show even more exciting and worthwhile for truck buyers to visit. The introduction of the Isuzu NHR with flexi truck 10 x 10 body and FVM with Fruehaf wing van are our latest addition to the wide array of body applications which can be done on our trucks. Hopefully, it will attract more customers to buy these models thru this display” Koso added.
Recognized as one of the most trusted truck brand in the global arena, IPC has been a consistent segment leader in the domestic market especially for its light-duty N-Series trucks which holds the number one position for 17 consecutive years. In the past two years, however, the trucks and buses segment also saw a significant increase in demand which is parallel to the growth of the economy, which is why IPC’s medium and heavy-duty trucks sales increased by around 13% in 2016. “For Isuzu, there is nothing more valuable that the trust that we get from our customers, it is for this reason, that we continue to provide excellent products and service that best suits the demands of the market” Koso said.
