President Rodrigo Duterte speaks with Peoples Republic of China President Xi Jinping on the phone for about 20 minutes on May 3, 2017. Duterte and Xi discussed bilateral ties and regional cooperation, a senior official told the Manila Standard. Both leaders also agreed to meet sometime this month for another bilateral meeting during Duterteís visit to Beijing.
