BALANGA CITY, Bataan—A Sangguniang Panlalawigan member is seeking the help of 11 municipal mayors and the city mayor here to conduct an inventory of housing and commercial facilities and come up with a workable and systematic urban planning scheme.

Board Member Rolly Tigas, chairman of the SP Committee on Housing and Land Utilization, said the inventory of housing and commercial establishments in the province would be the first phase to solving the anticipated shortage of houses while the local economy continues to grow with the expansion of the seven ecozones and one tourism enterprise zone in the province.

Tigas, from the first district of Bataan, said real estate and property management developers from Metro Manila and Central Luzon have exercised utmost prudence based on market demand and scientific land development analysis in constructing private subdivisions and business complexes near the province’s industrial zones.

“The province should oversee the processing of housing data to competently pinpoint the areas suitable for healthy conditions toward well-planned development in achieving inclusive growth,” the board member added.
