COURTS nationwide will be closed at noon today after the Supreme Court ordered a half-day work in the judiciary, allowing court personnel to have more time for observance of the Holy Week.

“In order to allow court personnel to more fully observe the Holy Week, the Chief Justice has authorized a half-day work schedule (8 a.m.-12 noon, unless other internal schedules apply) for all courts nationwide for April 12, 2017,” the SC said in an advisory issued on Tuesday.

Courts will also be closed tomorrow (Maundy Thursday) and on Good Friday, which are both regular holidays.

The SC will resume their summer session in Baguio City next week.
