Mayor Guia Gomez leads officials of San Juan City in breaking ground this week at Barangay Progreso, as the city government gets pumping stations in the different barangays ready—as those previously marked in barangays Balong Bato, Salapan and Rivera—two months before the rainy season starts. The city’s efforts under Gomez have raised residents’ hopes floodwaters would no longer bother them during the monsoon season.
