LINGAYEN, Pangasinan—National Housing Authority general manager Marcelino P. Escalada, Jr. commended the provincial government for its housing program, specifically the second phase of the Maniboc socialized housing for employees and teachers, and the Aplaya West Resettlement Project, which is intended to shelter the “poorest of the poor.”
Escalada visited the housing sites at Barangay Maniboc and Sitio Aplaya in Barangay Pangapisan Norte here. He said the projects are “concrete manifestation of how the national government and the local government units are cooperating.”
He said the NHA is doing its best to capacitate all LGUs. “If we are able to replicate this project, we will be able to address problems on illegal settlers,” Escalada added, mentioning the resettlement project.
