President Rodrigo Duterte is conducting a command conference with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday afternoon.
The conference will be held in Malacañang.
The last time Commander in Chief called such a command conference in the palace was in January this year.
It has yet to be known what issues will be tackled although the President may discuss with his military commanders the ongoing operations against the Abu Sayyaf.
PNP Chief Ronald Dela Rosa initially received information that a German was allegedly beheaded by the bandits, but he retracted this report because it could not be verified by other sources and the military.
