Standard Chartered Bank, in partnership with the Department of Education, recently promoted HIV/AIDS awareness through the bank’s Positive Living program in Pateros Elementary School (Seen in photo). In observance of World AIDS Day, SCB employee volunteers shared information on HIV/AIDS to the primary public school teachers who were taught the difference between HIV and AIDS, its transmission and prevention, importance of getting an HIV test and if contracted HIV, how to live with the virus and how to reduce the stigma that comes with it. SCB has has been reaching out to universities, communities and workplace to share information on HIV/AIDS.
