The Supreme Court has extended the Status Quo Ante Order (SQAO) on Former President Ferdinand Marcos’ burial until November 8, 2016.
This was announced by Supreme Court Spokesperson Theodore Te on Tuesday afternoon.

The former President was supposed to be interred at the Libingan ng mga Bayani last September 18, 2016 but the High Tribunal stopped the preparations being made by the Department of National Defense (DND) to give way to further deliberations and oral arguments on the matter.
The first order issued last August 23, 2016 was supposed to expire today.
Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Assistant Secretary Ana Marie Banaag says, the Palace respects the decision of the Supreme Court extending the SQAO.
