Alden Richards is undeniably the man of the hour, and he doesn’t let an opportunity pass him by to give back and share his blessings with people. Apart from his good looks, he is well loved for his big heart. This inspires the fans to emulate the way he promotes the value of giving.
For Alden International, the Pambansang Bae’s global fan base, they show their support for him by taking different initiatives and advocacies that help those in need. The group is composed of OFWs from all around the world, and they admit how Alden motivates them to practice paying it forward.
Their recent initiatives include an outreach programs that took place in Cavite and Laguna. From different parts of the world, they flew to the Philippines on June 18 and 25 to mount a feeding program for the elders of Tahanan ni Maria in Carmona and provide school supplies for the 400 students of Langkiwa Elementary School.
They are also organizing a block screening of his upcoming movie with Maine Mendoza, his love team and co-star in Imagine You and Me for the benefit of the Philippine Foundation for Breast Cancer patients.
Rowena Sandro, founder of the group, shares, “Nakita namin kung paano yung malasakit niya sa tao, at minsan parang kulang pa rin yung suporta na naibibigay namin para suklian yung mga ginagawa niya. Hindi naman lingid sa kaalaman ng lahat na si Alden ay mahilig tumulong at minsan pa nga ay hindi niya talaga ito gustong ipaalam kaya naman kami, gusto rin naming maging instrument para sa kabutihan at makatulong sa mga nangangailangan.”
As soon as Alden learned of their initiatives, he made sure to meet with the group and thank them personally. He was overwhelmed with how much effort they put into charity, and was rendered speechless at how this was all inspired by him.
The GMA Artist Center star says, “To be honest, I really don’t know how I inspired them to do something big like this because for me, ang gusto ko lang naman talaga is to make them very happy. Kapag may ginagawa ako, sila talaga ang isa sa mga iniisip ko na mapasaya kasi their support is indescribable. I am really thankful for them at sobra ang saya ko kasi ganun pala yung effect ko o ng mga ginagawa ko sa kanila. Aside from their unwavering support, nakakatulong pa sila sa iba.”
