HGTV’s first long-form original series House Hunters Asia, premieres on May 22 and airs 6 p.m. every Sunday.
From high-rise condominiums to humble abodes, House Hunters Asia follows prospective buyers across Asia as they navigate the sometimes rough-waters-of-buying real estate. The brand new series was filmed in Singapore and Malaysia, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of what may be the biggest financial and emotional purchase of a person’s life – buying a new home.
Home buyers together with their real estate agents tour three properties of varying styles and work through the quirks of buying real estate in Asia before deciding which fits their lifestyles and budgets best. Witness six home buyers, including married couple Vinamra and Shruthi from Singapore, who after years of renting, are looking to settle in a condominium with a large outdoor space for their young son. The show also features Sharul and Faeez from Malaysia, single male bachelors and first-time home buyers, seeking a dream pad with good public transport connections and a stunning view of Kuala Lumpur city.
