Binay condoles with killed judge’s family

VICE President Jejomar Binay on Friday condemned the killing of Judge Wilfredo Nieves, the presiding judge of the Malolos RTC Branch 84.

He cited the rising criminality in the Philippines despite the increase in the budget of the Interior Department.

Nieves was shot and killed by unidentified men in Bulacan on Wednesday.

He convicted a notorious carjacker in 2012.

“I condemn this killing in the strongest possible terms,” Binay said. 

“Judge Nieves was a committed public servant and an inspiration to those working in the judicial system. I expect our authorities to leave no stone unturned in making sure that the perpetrators are caught and bought to justice.”
