Maine Mendoza

What do the phenomenal TV darling, K-Pop groups BTS and Seventeen, and global pop stars Justin Bieber and Camila Cabello have in common? They are all social media superstars. Maine was named fifth most tweeted celebrity in the world by Twitter. So sorry Anne Curtis and Vice Ganda, but she’s the only Filipino in the top list, and this automatically makes her earn the title Philippines’s Twitter queen.

Maja Salvador

The Wildflower star wants everything authentic especially when she’s in character as Lily Cruz. While actors often opt for a stunt double to take on their action sequences, there are a few select celebrities like her that choose to skip the double and do it themselves going the extra mile, even deciding that their physical health is worth risking, as long as it is for the audience’s entertainment. No wonder, Maja’s TV series is renewed for another season.

The Good Son

Audiences seem to be switching their channel to ABS-CBN after having some dose of romantic comedy from the rival network. In the recent data released by AGB Nielsen, GMA Network’s most trusted TV ratings provider, The Good Son is ahead of the game giving My Korean Jagiya a serious competition. It only means that the Kapamilya show is putting something good on the table, but the big question is…until when the odds are going to remain on its side?

People…are not talking about

Geoff Eigenmann

People were surprised when they learned that he’s back on GMA Network’s care. They didn’t even know that he left for a while to do some shows in the Kapamilya Network. This says a lot about his career as a television actor because not being remembered by the public is a very serious matter. It may be because the roles he played didn’t create any impact on their consciousness or his personality is just too bland people could hardly notice his existence. And we doubt changing networks would solve problem.

BiGuel

In an attempt to spice up the competition, the Kapuso Network is pushing Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix’s love team to challenge the stronger pair over its rival network. The result?  According to AGB Nielsen, the premiere episode of their series Kambal Karibal scored a rating almost two points lower than that of La Luna Sangre’s. And we guess this doesn’t need any further explanation anymore.

Hanggang Saan

The adage “lightning never strikes the same place twice” is applicable to Sylvia Sanchez’s newest soap. She may have made some serious impact among viewers in the Greatest Love but same thing cannot be said of with Hanggang Saan, which we think would just exit the small screen earlier than what most people expected.  The new Kapamilya show rated two points lower than the Kapuso show, and a two-point difference in viewership is already considered a big gap
