University of the East graduates claimed three of the top four spots in the Dentist Licensure Examination (Practical Phase), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday.

Elyssa Jane Fernandez Tan of UE-Manila topped the examination's practical phase with a rating of 83.03%, followed by John Michael Briones Panganiban at second with 82.94%.
Lady Jessamine Mamacotao Diamel was fourth at 82.37%, behind third placer Maxine Anne Alejandrino Remulla of University of the Philippines-Manila, who scored 82.60%.
UP-Manila had three others in the top 10: Aika Gail Jimenez Vera Cruz at 6th (82.17%), Ansley Bernardo Yee at 7th (81.80%), and Anna Lorraine Hitosis Tonel at 9th (81.66%).
Rounding out the top 10 are Jayson Jhon Signo Palma of Lyceum Northwestern University in Dagupan City (5th, 82.27%), Nadine Angela Paola Macasaet Oreta of Davao Medical School Foundation (8th, 81.70%), and Marjorie Mariano Orlanda of Centro Escolar University-Manila (10th, 81.27%).
The PRC said that 541 out of 687 who took the examination passed the practical phase, while 540 out of 1,549 examinees hurdled the written phase.
Both exams were given the Board of Dentistry in Manila in December 2019.
