I’ve always known my love language was quality time–and no matter how many online tests I take, the answer remains the same. I don’t mind long walks, random conversations, or going to new places and experiencing new things as long as I’m with loved ones. But with work, life, and everything else in between, it’s hard to find time to unwind, especially if I’m balancing parenting with my husband.
One wellness resort in Bolbok, Lipa, Batangas offers an escape from the mundane while promoting wellness. Unlike most wellness resorts, Likha Wellness Resort champions “Wellness by your design,” empowering you to choose how you want to nurture your mental, emotional, and physical health.
Likha Wellness Resort is only 1.5 to two hours away from the metro where guests can unwind amid nature. The property spans 1.8 hectares, with Villa Alab at the center. The villa serves as a space for guests to relax in nature, take a refreshing dip, strengthen bonds, or sample nutritious meals. It’s the ideal spot for a long-overdue weekend getaway for my husband and me.
The villa boasts six rooms: Master Bedrooms 1 and 2, Lofts 1 and 2, the Garden Room, and the Bunk Room. Our stay was in the spacious and well-ventilated Master Bedroom 2, offering excellent views of the pool area and its lush surroundings. The high ceiling and large windows added a touch of luxury, making us feel pampered from the moment we stepped in.

Besides the wellness-centered activities, Likha provides a space where guests can nourish their souls through fun celebrations and gatherings with loved ones to foster stronger bonds and holistic personal growth. Villa Alab can be rented as a whole and accommodate up to 40 guests who want to hold intimate events at the resort. The plush Indoor Sunken Area has a bar area and other entertainment items, like a speaker for karaoke, an ornate chess board, and books on various topics, among other things, to keep guests occupied.
Other amenities include a spa and massage area, infrared sauna, swimming pool and heated jacuzzi, outdoor bathhouse, lush gardens, meditation areas, and diverse dining options. At night, there’s a bonfire where guests can gather for s’mores and meaningful conversations. Approche Hospitality ups the ante by catering to the guests’ needs with attentive service that prioritizes comfort, from minor details to grand gestures. The resort’s management also offers a butler service to complete that holistic self-care experience.

A few steps away from our room is the spa, which offers diverse services that can make anyone feel brand new. Although we can get the services in-room, getting them at the spa adds to the overall wellness experience, with the relaxing background music and the smell of incense burning. Yet before we went there, the resort’s staff advised us to experience the sauna for 10 to 15 minutes to open up our pores and relax our muscles before the massage. The sauna could accommodate two people simultaneously and worked us up to a sweat as it reached 37 degrees Celsius.
Next, we tried the Barako scrub, which uses ground coffee from the variant Batangas is famous for. A coffee scrub has several benefits, including exfoliating the skin, reducing the appearance of cellulite, brightening skin, and improving blood circulation. After washing off the scrub, we proceeded to experience Likha’s signature massages called Haplos.
Haplos featured the traditional whole-body massage, which targeted tense spots while attending to other areas for maximum relaxation. If that wasn’t enough, they also used hot stones to loosen our muscles further. It was a huge relief and seemed to melt away all my troubles. We slept like babies that night and felt brand new the following day.

Likha also offers IV Vitamin Drip Services that deliver essential nutrients straight to your body. Depending on their needs, guests can choose from the Diamond Drip, Recovery Drip, Fit Drip, and Immuno Drip to get the wellness they want and deserve.
One of the highlights of our stay was the food. Since Likha lets its guests personalize their wellness plan according to their preferences, the resort promotes nutritious food without sacrificing the flavor and satisfaction. Each meal satisfied our tummies and our souls. Some dishes we tried (and loved) were the Chicken Binakol, Bamboo Rice, Pan-Fried Golden Pampano, Grilled Tuna Belly, Monte Cristo, and Truffle Potato Wedges.
