NCRPO chief Guillermo Eleazar directed his men to find the masterminds behind the illegal sale of UAAP tickets.

Last Saturday, more than 21,600 people watched the first game of the series held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Today (Dec. 5), the second game will be held at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City at 4 pm.

“We will catch and arrest these scalpers. I pity the students who want to enjoy a good basketball game and cheer for their school,” said Eleazar.

“The scalper syndicate controls the tickets, and release these through their crooked salesmen at prices at least 10 times the real value leaving the students at their mercy. Pitiful,” he added.

Eleazar said VIP tickets regularly priced at P450 were sold by the scalpers for P3,000 while general admission tickets priced at P75 were being sold for P750.
