President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Monica Louise “Nikki” P. Teodoro as Special Envoy of the President to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
Aside from serving as Tarlac 1st District representative from 2007 to 2010, Nikki is the wife of Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr.
She was among the new officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) announced by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on Tuesday.
The others were Giovanni E. Palec, Noel Eugene Eusebio M. Servigon, Honee Fritz N. Abangan-Diel, Gallo M. Macasinag, Raul F. Marcelo, Kenneth Lemuel G. Rementilla, Honorio C. Allado III, and Maria Cecilia B. Bitare.
Nikki held the same position from 2017 to 2018 under the Duterte administration.
