Let it serve as a reminder that the Philippine Coast Guard is a forward-thinking institution,” said Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista.
In addition to Bautista, the ceremony was also graced by PCG Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gil L. Gavan. “This most recent development, the deployment of beep-enabled ID card brings the Philippine Coast Guard another step closer to being fully digitally visible,” said Admiral Gavan. “This development is part of the Philippine Coast Guard’s continuing effort to modernize and we would like to take advantage of the technologies that come by.”
