In support of the administration’s commitment to improving frontline government services and ensuring that every Filipino has access to prompt and accurate labor and employment information, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) held a three-day capacity-building session to strengthen the skills of its 23 DOLE Hotline 1349 action officers.
Held from December 9 to 11, 2025, at the DOLE Central Office, the training session reinforced the capabilities of its action officers to effectively handle workers’ concerns and ensure the continuous delivery of accurate, prompt, and reliable services for Filipino workers.
Dubbed “Maximizing Service Quality: Comprehensive Training on General Labor Standards and Essential Customer Service Skills,” the sessions covered discussions on general labor standards, particularly on fundamental rights and benefits of workers, wage computations, work arrangements, labor law compliance, collective bargaining agreements, and other programs of DOLE’s bureaus and attached agencies. In addition, the hotline action officers undertook effective communication and customer service sessions.
“I hope that all of you continue to improve our services with the knowledge gained today. Let us always be polite and patient with our clients with the positive virtues of a good public servant. We have to remember that we also represent the Department,” DOLE Information and Publication Service Director Rosalinda P. Pineda said.
“Whenever there are new policies or information that need to be shared with clients, we will do our best to provide them,” she continued.
For labor and employment-related inquiries or concerns, the public is encouraged to contact the DOLE Hotline 1349, available to assist from Mondays to Fridays, from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, except on holidays.
