This time, Ja Morant attacked the rim decisively, soaring high for a clean one-leap dunk on Friday evening at one of The Courtyard’s basketball courts.
The emphatic slam helped Morant make up for a previous attempt that nearly ended in disaster two days earlier during his “Make Them Watch” tour in China.
At that event, the 25-year-old Memphis Grizzlies star slipped while trying to leap over a person for a highlight dunk, colliding mid-air with his dunk partner and crashing awkwardly to the floor.

In Manila, Morant kept things simple, opting not to jump over anyone during his halftime dunk performance in a game featuring Philippine pro ballers and La Salle Zobel’s high school squad.
“I’m just excited to be here,” Morant said before delivering the slam in what marked his final event on the Manila leg of his Nike-backed tour.
The “Make Them Watch” tour is Morant’s first international trip with Nike this month, allowing him to take a break from his NBA preparations while inspiring young athletes in four countries.
The initiative aims to help the next generation of hoopers shape the game within their local communities and express their unique style on the court.
