The alt-pop rock band making nostalgia feel new

Filipino alt-pop rock band Revisors has released a new single, “Pagupit,” their first track since rebranding from Revisors.

The four-member group—fronted by Keoni Jin, with Zell on bass, Raco on guitar, and Ninja on drums—blends Filipino lyricism with melodies shaped by ‘80s and ‘90s rock. Their sound leans on nostalgia while carrying the urgency of today’s alt scene.

Released under Off The Record in partnership with Sony Music Philippines, “Pagupit” uses a simple haircut as a symbol for letting go. The track pairs retro-inspired guitars with lines that explore the emotional shifts of growing up.

The group recently appeared on the cover of Fresh Finds Philippines and celebrated its return with a packed single launch at Aromata. The group’s presence in the Manila gig circuit continues to build through energetic live shows and quick onstage chemistry.

The band aims to capture emotion rather than echo a specific decade, turning familiar textures into something immediate and relatable. “Pagupit” offers a first look at the direction Revisors is taking as they open a new chapter.
