Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2, the sequel to the 2015 film Inside Out, hits cinemas nationwide on June 12. Picking up from the last movie, the story follows Riley as she turns 13 and enters the chaotic stage of puberty.
The first film introduced viewers to Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust in the mind of 11-year-old Riley. It helped kids and parents talk about complex emotions and concepts like ‘core memories.’
Now a teenager, Riley’s mind undergoes a transformation. A crew announces a demolition to make room for new Emotions and concepts, shaking Riley and her Emotions. What new things will she learn about herself?
As her old and new Emotions clash, Riley’s ‘Belief System’ and ‘Sense of Self’ will also be challenged and redefined. Everything not immediately addressed goes to the ‘Back of the Mind,’ while secrets are kept in ‘The Vault.’
