Katrina Halili celebrated turning 40 by revisiting one of her most memorable roles, stepping back into her Black Darna costume years after it first appeared on television.
The Kapuso actress shared a series of photos on Instagram showing her transformation into the dark version of Darna, the character she portrayed as the villain in GMA’s adaptation of “Darna.”
The post quickly caught fans’ attention, many of whom had long been asking her to revive the look.
“Sa mga namilit, para sa inyo ’to,” Halili wrote. “Black Darna, challenge accepted. Pwede pa ba?”
She followed it up with behind-the-scenes shots from the shoot, adding a playful caption: “Pagbigyan na si Black Darna at bihira makalabas, gagala muna siya sa Earth.”
Katrina played Black Darna opposite Angel Locsin, who took on the iconic superhero role. The character remains one of the most talked-about villains in the franchise.
She shares a daughter, Katie, with former partner Kris Lawrence and has been open about her child’s Autism Spectrum Disorder, often using social media to share candid moments from their life together.
