Authorities also reported that checkpoints have been implemented as mandated by the Commission on Elections in Quezon City. The Quezon City Police District under Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. ordered the establishment of checkpoints that took effect yesterday at 12:01 a.m.

At least 33 checkpoints have been strategically established city-wide to ensure security and compliance with election-related regulations during the election period from Jan. 12 to June 11.

To ensure the effective implementation of Comelec’s order, Buslig,  along with his command group, conducted inspections at various checkpoint locations, including Elliptical Road corner Kalayaan Avenue, LRT Anonas station, and Welcome Rotonda in Barangay Don Manuel.
