President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. responded to the letter of an 11-year-old student in Tinambac, Camarines Sur, reporting alleged rape incidents and other forms of harassment in their locality.
“Your letter has reached me and brought me close to tears and made me very angry,” Mr. Marcos remarked.
The President vowed to send police officers to the student and their peers to protect them and locate anyone who has hurt them.
“I will make sure that you will be able to continue reading and studying as much as you want,” Marcos said.
“You are a very brave, intelligent, and very kind girl, and I will make sure to help you and your sisters in any way you need,” he added.
The chief executive concluded his response by asking the student to get in touch with his team, who will help if there is anything else they need.
