President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Tuesday (Philippine time) announced he met with the US Medical Glove Company to discuss their plans to build a manufacturing facility in the Philippines.
According to the President, the project could create more than 2,000 jobs for Filipinos.
“It will also allow us to produce essential medical supplies locally and open new opportunities in the growing global medical manufacturing industry,” Mr. Marcos posted on social media.
This development comes on the sidelines of the President’s United Nations engagements in New York City.
The US Medical Glove Company is an advanced manufacturing facility producing high-quality industrial and medical exam nitrile gloves and glove-making machines.
It has a production capacity of 156 million gloves per month, manufacturing 2 billion gloves annually.
