Cebu Pacific receives first aircraft for this year

Cebu Pacific (CEB) received its first aircraft of the year—an Airbus A320neo—on March 6, two days before celebrating its 30th anniversary on March 8.

The aircraft was delivered to Manila from Airbus’ facility in Toulouse, France. It is the first of four A320neos expected to be added to CEB’s fleet this year.

The airline said it anticipates the arrival of seven aircraft in 2026 as it works to expand capacity in response to continuing travel demand.

“This delivery sets the tone for our 30th year,” said Xander Lao, CEB president and chief commercial officer. “It reflects our continued investment in growth so more passengers can look forward to accessible and reliable air travel in the years to come.”

Airbus NEOs are latest-generation aircraft that burn about 15 percent less fuel per flight and produce less noise than previous models, helping reduce carbon emissions.
